The short version: MK-312 Remote runs entirely on your own devices and network. We don't have accounts, we don't run a server that sees your data, and we don't collect, sell or share personal information. There's essentially nothing about you for us to hold.

This policy explains how the MK-312 Remote application ("the app", "we", "us") handles information. It applies to the Android and Windows versions of the app.

Information the app stores

The app saves a few settings on your own device so it works the way you left it — for example your last-used device address, volume, loop preference and calibration values. This stays on your device and is never transmitted to us or anyone else. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling it removes it.

The app does not collect your name, email, contacts, precise identity, or any usage analytics. There is no sign-up and no account.

Location permission

On Android, the app asks for location permission. This is required by the Android operating system in order to read your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and band and to run the Wi-Fi setup (ESPTouch) that connects your device to your network. Your location is not tracked, recorded, stored or shared — the permission is used solely for Wi-Fi detection and set-up. You can decline it, though first-time device set-up may not work without it.

Your local network

Audio streaming and device control happen directly between the app and your MK-312 device over your local Wi-Fi. That traffic stays on your own network. It is not routed through, seen by, or stored by us or any third party.

Purchases

The optional one-time "Pro" upgrade is handled by Google Play. Google acts as the seller and processes your payment information under Google's Privacy Policy. We only receive confirmation of whether Pro has been unlocked — we never see your payment card or billing details.

Third-party services

The app uses Google Play Billing for the Pro purchase. It contains no advertising, no analytics, and no other third-party tracking.

Data security & retention

Because we don't collect your personal data, there is nothing on our side to secure, retain, or lose. Any settings the app saves remain on your device under your control until you clear them.

Age

MK-312 Remote, and the devices it works with, are intended for adults aged 18 or over only. The app is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Your rights

Under UK/EU data protection law you have rights over your personal data. As we do not hold any personal data about you, there is nothing for us to provide, correct or erase. For anything relating to a purchase, contact Google Play. You can remove all locally-stored settings at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
